today i learned...

Chase seems to be rid of whatever had him puking. Thank goodness. Today was a good day.

Today I learned:

People have no business "collecting" animals (watched Animal Hoarding on TV and visited my ex-father-in-law on the same day. The show has me wondering....)

Dr. Suess wrote some longer books that the kids ALSO love. Mom doesn't. Takes too long to read at bedtime.

Boyfriends are dumb.

No puke

An entire day with no vomit. WooHoo!!! Turns out that the blueberries were not the cause of Chase's barfing episode but sure did make for a colorful "event." With no clear cause I'm gonna just pray that its over and that the doctors are right...just a virus. But aren't viruses super contaigious? Wouldn't Aimee or I have gotten it by now? Especially with my close contact with all Chase's puke?

On another note, its after 10pm and Aimee is still sitting in her bed reading her books out loud. Very loud actually. Great...

Yuck

Just a few tidbits of info I want to share with everyone:

An 8 year old should never eat more than 10 blueberries at a time.

Blueberries + stomach content are not easily cleaned out of car upholstery.

Yuck.

Chase is awesome!

We went out on the boat yesterday and Chase showed us all just how brave and fearless he is! He loves going on the boat and getting tossed off the tube into the Delta! I think next summer Chase is going to want a wakeboard and its such a fun family activity. I am so thankful for our close family. My neice and her boyfriend (in the picture below) are great with my kids.

KRISTENS FUN FACT OF THE WEEK: Spray on sunscreen is super easy and works great. AS LONG AS YOU RUB IT IN!!! I didn't..... I won't be able to sleep on my back for a few days!

Birthday and pics

Chase is 8 years old!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHASE!!! We had a great day filled with presents, cake and of course, Chuck E Cheese!

After the kiddos went to bed I got to go on a date with my boyfriend. I dragged him to see Eclipse. What a great day!

We are all alive around here and doing well. Chase is almost done with summer school. He is also almost 8yrs old! July 13 is his birthday and he can't wait. His wraparound team finally got the funds to get his weighted vest. Its a form of occupational therapy that is supposed to soothe kids or even just reduce their anxiety. It works great for him at school so our wraparound team is paying so we can have one at home too. They are about $100.

Chase went to the fair with his cousin this week. He came home exhausted but talking about all the fun he had. He really loves rides and sweets so he was in heaven. Mmmmmm. And they even brought me home some cotton candy!

I've been busy with work and two wacky kids who can't get enough of the sunshine. My 10 year high school reunion is in September and I can't decide if I want to go. It would be nice to see some old classmates but I hate feeling awkward. In high school I was awkward and uncomfortable and I really don't want to re-live that experience. It could just end up causing a lot of unnecessary stress. On the other hand, I have many things to be proud of (kids, career, house etc) and I should share that with people who knew me and put up with me as a teenager.
