sleep or lack of?

I keep trying to post pics but it isn't working from my laptop.

Nothing really new around here except I have a nasty cold. Chase's sleep is still not ok. Doc told us to try melatonin. No real improvement when given to him at bedtime. He FALLS asleep ok. Its the STAYING asleep that he isn't capable of! But since its a weekend, if he wakes up at 3 or 4am, I'm going to try to give him the melatonin at that time. Crossing fingers...

Tomorrow is Halloween. Hopefully I feel well enough to take Vampire and Minnie Mouse trick-or-treating. Otherwise Uncle Kevin will have a busy night while I hand out candy from the warm house.

More bullets instead of an actual blog entry....

• My mom came back from China! She had an amazing time and took great pictures. She even had a sign made for Chase's classroom (in chinese!!)
• Chase is doing well (besides waking up at 3:30am to play with his sister....)
• We finally found a pumpkin patch that is open when we are available. Pictures will follow in a future post.
• I heard a rumor that AB3632 will be cut in 2011. I haven't been able to find any concrete info about it, but if they do cut it, Chase will lose a ton of services. Very scary. I will include who/how to write to congress if the rumor is in fact true.
• After going over my budget for the next few months, it is clear that Christmas will be very tight. NO money for presents so its time for Santa to start getting creative! Too bad I can't get any actual child support.... not that I'm bitter. I swear. (but my fingers are crossed)

Thats all for now. Its funny how I post soooo much less when things are stable with Chase. We are out having fun and actually doing things together! So its always a good sign when this blog slows down a bit.

jumbled updates

Tons of random recent facts/updates in my jumbled up head

• More tweaking of Chase's meds have him aggitated and his sleep cycle is all over the place
• My mom is in China and won't be back for another week. I miss her like crazy.
• REAL pumpkin patches all close at 5pm. Aimee was VERY disappointed
• I sometimes wonder if I missed my calling as a housekeeper...or maybe the bleach from the bathroom floor is just making me loopy
• Pets are fantastic. Until they piss all over your sons room and you can't seem to get the smell out despite your best efforts.
• Little brothers are like pets. But they don't piss on the floor when they are mad. They just boycott household chores and leave their dirty socks all over the house to "make a statement".
• Mobile Response Team (MRT) is spread too thin in the bay area. Sometimes they can't respond at all which leaves families like ours with few other options. Scary
• Chase is really picking up on his reading skills all of the sudden. Woohoo!
