And so the rage began.
And it hurt.
I got hit with a shoe at full force.
He calmed down after about 15 minutes.
Not bad.
I figure that rages can be expected.
There are things that can't be 100% eliminated.
But not bad for a rage.
Phew.

bullsh*t
I hate that when I mention that my son is/was in the hospital, people seem so concerned. Then when they find out that he has a mental illness, it somehow becomes insignificant. He isn't really sick. Or when he comes home he will be all better. Or somehow when he is in the psych hospital it is less stressful than any other sort of hospitalization.
That's bullshit.
PS...Chase is still doing well. Just needed to vent.

la de da
Chase and Aimee came home from their dad's tonight. I'm so glad they are home, I get lonely without them.
Chase is doing better than I anticipated. I don't have much energy to write tonight. Tomorrow I will post new pics and a funny video.

distractions
We had a good day today. Nothing too interesting. I did notice a pattern this evening.
Chase this evening:
1. trigger
2. distraction
3. trigger
4. distraction
continued for hours.
That is a real improvement. Exhausting but an improvement. Two months ago, distractions weren't working.
Another thing I keep forgetting to write.... I appreciate the comments and emails that I've been recieving from people keeping up with the blog. I try to respond but lately I've been a *tad* bit overwhelmed and drained. I do read the comments and emails, I promise. Maybe I'm too antisocial for my own good lately.

Aimee
I'm not sure what I feel like writing tonight. I'm tired from work, but more drained from the hours before work. It seems like Aimee is having a hard time. Constant whining, crying, demanding and screaming. This is NOT like her.
There is nothing physically wrong. No new teeth, ear infection or growing pains. She's just not happy. I'm wondering if it has to do with Chase being home. But he's been such a good big brother since he came home. He puts up with a lot of crap, teasing, poking etc from Aimee.
Chase was so upset with Aimee this morning that he called MRT and they were able to calm him down a bit.
She CAN be calm and sweet and the normal Aimee personality. I see it at preschool when I pick her up.
Now don't think that Aimee doesn't have consequences for all the drama, but she just screams and then the behaviors start again when she's done. Timeouts don't work. Counting and 1-2-3 magic doesn't work. Taking away toys/priviledges doesn't work. Ignoring just makes things MUCH louder.
Yikes, just thinking about it gives me a headache. Sleeping is better than a headache. Goodnight.
