Update and scary

I haven't posted in a while. No huge updates. Still struggling with homework and massive sibling rivalry.

I called Mrs. S yesterday. She said that he will recieve the same homework as everyone else and he will still lose a point if he doesn't complete it. But he does have the option of finishing it at recess if necessary.... I don't feel great about that. I need to think about it a bit more before our IEP so I can address the issue.

One of my coworkers was shot on monday night. Someone followed her from work (Martinez) to Elk Grove. As she stopped at a stoplight, he shot her through her shoulder. She is ok, in the hospital. They won't be removing the bullet. Another reminder how dangerous my job is...

Oh and swine flu is floating around my unit again....

I'm back with a new memory card. Here are some updates...

1. Chase is doing well. Spending ALL of his time in the water, either in Discovery Bay, our backyard, the neighbors pool or running through sprinklers.
2. Aimee still isn't potty trained....this is getting ridiculous
3. My dad is hanging in there. He will likely be home tomorrow. But being on oxygen, heart monitors etc is really scary for my mom. It would almost be easier if he stayed in the hospital a while longer.
4. My job is infested with Swine Flu. http://www.contracostatimes.com/news/ci_12481333?nclick_check=1 Not cool. This means that I can't visit my dad. Its really not worth the risk. So far there are no cases on my unit, but with such an isolated atmosphere....its just a matter of time.
5. My anxiety level has been off the charts. I can't pinpoint why exactly.

Chase is still great!!! I'm keeping him home from school today. This swine flu has me paranoid and since some of the kids at his school are from Pittsburg, its not a chance I want to take with my kids. I'm looking forward to hanging out with the kids in the sunshine today.
