I haven't posted in a few days. Mainly because things have been pretty crazy. My niece graduated high school and my nephew graduated middle school. That was one LONG day, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
My kids are doing well. Chase finished school yesterday. He's been so good at school. I'm so proud to say that my little guy is now officially in the second grade! Hard to believe that time has gone by so fast and that after all the craziness this year, he didn't let the hospitalizations stop him from learning what he needed to learn to pass first grade.
Aimee got a guinea pig for her third birthday. By the way, Aimee will be 3 on monday! The guinea pig is black and white, kinda like a skunk. The kids named him Flower, like the skunk in Bambi. He's really great. Good with our kitty, no biting, not loud and just a really good temperment.
My dad is on hospice. I'm terrified. He's increasingly confused. He is having hallucinations and is weak despite the fact that he's eating pretty good. I'm scared for my daddy. I don't know how my mom is so darn strong. She is amazing. She says that we are doing our grieving now and I don't disagree. We are watching him wither away.
Thats about it for now.

Just thought I'd post some pics from the last 2 days. Tonight the MRT came by to have an initial meeting with us. They were VERY nice and Chase liked them. I felt very comfortable with them.
I'm feeling a little better today. Made it through my shift at work.
Chase is doing well but this is the last week of school until summer, so I'm getting nervous. When routines change, they are really hard on Chase and can trigger instability. :::crossing fingers:::

siiiiiiiick
Not much to write. I woke up really sick. Chase was being good for me but Aimee wouldn't leave me alone. I really lost my temper and raised my voice. I feel guilty about it but I was so mad that I was crying. Its so hard to be a single mom when you are sick. Thank goodness I didn't have to work today. But tomorrow at 7am....

a cold
I have a nasty cold. It hit me right in the middle of training today. Now its 8pm and I'm seriously about to go to bed. I'm prayin the kids don't get it.
On another note, Chase is doing amazingly well. I'm thrilled! I have such an amazing son. He's smart, sweet, silly and just plain fun. He's taking care of me tonight since I don't feel well.
Aimee is quite a "pip" as my dad would say. She played in the bath for so long tonight that she was all wrinkly when she got out.
Tomorrow we have family from Florida visiting. We were supposed to go to my parents house for a while with them and then bring them to my house for lunch. Thanks to my cold, plans have changed. I won't be going to my parents house.....can't risk getting my dad sick. Glad I spent time with him yesterday since I won't likely see him this weekend.

looooong
Things are never as simple as they seem, but I *think* I might have this whole childcare issue taken care of. Chase's current daycare teacher (Ann) is very upset about the daycare getting rid of Chase. But I'm thinking that this doesn't have to be a bad thing. Chase gets plenty of socialization time at school but after school he gets cranky and isn't exactly in the best mood to go to daycare. SO...
Ann wants to retire. She doesn't want to work at the daycare anymore. Standing up for 40 hours a week is draining and her boss really clashes with her. Instead of me paying $300/week for daycare and then another $80/day for 3x week when I work nights... (that adds up to $540/week I think)...
Now I will pay Ann $300/week and she will watch them when I go to work and other random times during the week when I need a break and/or need to run errands. This works out for her because she will have a lot more down time and half the time she watches the kids, they will be asleep anyway. Chase will have a lot more time at home, able to play with his neighbor friends.
I'm going to sign Aimee up for some little preschool program for maybe 3 hours 2x/week or so. Ann is great as far as teaching the kids academic stuff, but with Aimee being so shy I think she needs to be in a school environment with other kids her own age so that school isn't a shock when she gets to kindergarten.
Ok this post is probably way too long and detailed and more than you care to read, but oh well. Thats what the little X on the top right of your screen is for.
And I'm still not done talking (writing).
Chase is doing really well. I'm afraid to write too much about this, in case I jinx it!
My dad is home. My mom will care for him for now. I wish I could help more.
Yesterday we officially got AB3632 services at the IEP meeting. That means that we have MRT (mobile response team) in case of emergencies, Chase will see the AB3632 therapist weekly and soon we will be meeting with someone from Wraparound to get those services in place.
Ok I guess I'm running out of things to say and YES you can breath a sigh of relief. "This girl is finally going to shut up..."
