MRT

Thank GOD for the Mobile Response Team. Without our MRT counselor, Marcia, I can guarantee that Chase would have been back in the hospital tonight. After spending the afternoon at my parent's house, Chase had a meltdown as soon as we got home. He was really sweet and gentle with my dad. He even gave him his favorite stuffed animal, Mr. Fox. But when we left, reality set in and he realized just how sick grandpa is.

He was finally able to calm down long enough to hang out with his friends but when it came time to come home, he refused. Things got pretty rough. He wouldn't listen to anyone. When I handed him the phone with Marcia on the other end, he calmed enough to talk to her. Somehow she was soothing to him. 30 minutes later, we were reading a bedtime story. MRT is amazing. Where has this been for the last year?!?!?!?
